Meet Rosie

Meet Rosie. This little (and we mean little at only about 40#s) lady is a very special momma. Rosie was surrendered to animal control with four one day old puppies. Overnight she delivered two more, but sadly one had already passed by the time staff arrived in the morning. The other puppy was not latching onto mom and that’s where Pittie Please came in. Contacted to come help the fragile little puppy Pittie Please knew they were at risk if they spent another night in the cold loud shelter….so momma and her five pups (all girls!) were snatched up to safety!

Rosie settled quickly into her foster home, and she quickly ranked high on the list of best mom – and foster- ever! Not only was she the whole package as a itty bitty pitty and attentive momma, she was also house broken, and did great with free roam of the “nursery”.

Rosie has really loved her foster mom being home so much, and usually just lies at her feet or snoozes on the couch while she’s working, but this laidback little girl definitely has a fun side too. And if her mom is too busy, no matter, she self-entertains running back and forth with her stuffed toys or balls, tossing them around and bouncing after them to toss them again! She’s been the unintended entertainment of quite a few Zoom calls the past few months!

Rosie would fit in well in any type of home- condo, apartment or house. Rosie shares her foster home with multiple dogs of all ages and sizes and even though she hangs out with the gang, she seems to prefer to keep to herself and doesn’t seek out a lot of engagement from the other dogs. She’d be great as an only dog or with another chill dog, that will respect her space and whether she wants to play or not. While she is a petite little girl, we are also recommending that she goes to a home with kids 10 or older. Rosie has been around younger kids and did great but seemed a bit uncomfortable at times with all the quick movements, noise and hands all over her toys.
