Rosie is an amazing dog - I believe that’s the best way to preface her profile. This stunningly gorgeous girl was adopted as a pup by a family who kept her for four years. Sadly, they were heartbroken to have to give her up because one of their children was allergic, so now Rosie needs a new family who will love her just as much.

Rosie is around 4 years old and is around 50 lbs. She is up to date on vaccinations, spayed, and heartworm negative. She is house trained and crate trained, though we have not found the need to keep her crated when unsupervised. She does just fine inside the house provided that no food is accessible. Rosie had a few extra pounds on her cute rump when she came into fostering, so it’s safe to say she is an avid eater. She will also get into the garbage if she can!

Rosie is a typical cattledog - super smart and super velcro. She wants nothing more than to be with her humans. She does have the cattledog energy though, and she needs quite a bit of exercise daily. She has been jogging a bit with her foster mom in the mornings and has done really well. She’s working on building up her stamina right now but would eventually make a perfect jogging companion. She also likes to play fetch and go for long walks. Rosie needs a home committed to giving her proper exercise, not only to help her burn off her energy, but also to ward off those extra pounds she had when she first came to us.

Rosie is dog-friendly with proper introductions and with easy going dogs. She is a bit pushy in play and her favorite game is to steal other dogs’ toys, so she might not be a good match for a dominant dog. She has lived with a child in the past, but we have not kid-tested her in fostering. She can be mouthy, just as many cattledogs are. Rosie needs a home with no cats. She is not aggressive toward them, she just wants to play and fixates on them to the point where it’s problematic.

Rosie is located in Greenfield, MA. For questions, please contact Luker.laura@gmail.com
