Rose is a beautiful 11-month-old Australian Shepherd with a unique mix of sweet, mischievous, and playful personality traits. She’s a total cuddle bug with her humans and loves roughhousing with her foster brother. Despite her breed’s reputation for high energy, Rose is more on the medium-energy side. She’ll happily chase a ball, but 70% of the time, she’s content relaxing on the couch with her favorite bone or toy.

Rose has had a tough start in life, and because of her lack of socialization, she experiences anxiety that makes her not suited for every home. She’s not a fan of neighborhood walks or crowded public spaces like dog parks or restaurants. Instead, she thrives in calm, familiar environments like home or quiet hikes.

The perfect home for Rose would include another confident, submissive dog to show her the ropes and help her feel secure. She’s currently enrolled in basic obedience training to build her confidence and develop her skills, and her new family will need to continue that work. Rose needs an owner who will love her for who she is and respect her boundaries without pushing her into uncomfortable situations.
