Meet Rose!
Rose is a 2 year old golden retriever. She was saved from a puppymill. Rose is the sweetest but very timid girl. She has some very puppy like behaviors having never experienced life as we think of it. She is learning some words like no and sit. She will listen when told down or no. You might have to say it a couple of times. LOL!
Rose is housebroken. Her foster family has a doggy door which she learned very quickly. While being housebroken in her foster home, it does not mean she will not have accidents during the transition to her furever home.

She also loves to cuddle with her person. She is definitely a people dog. She really doesn't interact with her foster siblings yet, but likes that they are here! Dogs rescued from puppy mills have not learned how to interact with other dogs necessarily, but will over time & need another dog or more in the home for a sense of security and for building confidence.

All Rose needs is love and patience. She will be a fantastic family member.

We are in Rochester, NY, we adopt to people who live in the Rochester area. We do not ship our dogs and require home visits. Must live in area to adopt, will not respond to out of area/country requests. Additionally we require physically fenced yard for dog/pup to play in safely. Exceptions are sometimes made to this requirement but is up to the foster and more often done for the small breed dogs.

All our dogs have been treated with dewormer; heartworm tested (if age appropriate -7 mths or older); treated for fleas/ticks; microchipped; and examined by veterinarian plus given age appropriate vaccinations. We take every effort to ensure the health of the animal and you will receive a copy of all vet work performed at time of adoption. Dogs will be spayed/neutered thru us prior to finalizing any adoption.

We provide information on dogs age and breed based on what we are told by person surrendering dog or vet's best guess. While we try our best we cannot guarantee that this information is 100% accurate and can often be best guess in case of our lovable mutts.
