Rose Mixed Breed Portland, OR

Rose, our 6 year old, 10 lb chiweenie mix, believes that we all contain multitudes. Yes, even homeless dogs from Multnomah County can be full of contradictions. Rose may have lost her previous family, but every foster home that came after (she was in and out of the shelter several times) loved her like their own. So really, Rose had an abundance of homes.

Here's what else we mean by contradictions. Rose is both tubular and spherical. She is short, but her personality is big. She is shy, but very friendly. Rose's current foster family describes her as smart and easy to train, but mischievous. Rose is so food motivated that she'll sit in front of the food cabinet and lick the door while giving her foster family Oscar-worthy glances. She is curious and funny and loves to cuddle. Rose has been a friend to all the other dogs she's met, and we think she'd be just fine with a dog-savvy cat. She is potty trained, quiet, and not destructive.

Rose is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, heart-worm negative and current on her preventatives. She's had normal blood work and is apparently very healthy.

Our Rose has been through a lot of transitions before she came to us. She has made many fans along the way. Like all of us complicated creatures, Rose craves stability, love and a forever place to show all of her sides. Apply to adopt at www.stumptownstrays.org
