Introducing Rose! This precious girl has such a beautiful coat with cute spots of brown fur and is 45 pounds of four-year-old love!

Rose is already housebroken and crate-trained. She is able to sleep quietly through the night and keep her crate clean if she’s home alone. If she needs to head outside, she’ll signal to Foster Mom by pacing around by the poor or window. She will enter her crate on command, and after just a few minutes of protesting, she’ll settle in for a rest.

Although Rose is slowly getting more comfortable around other animals, she would prefer a home where she gets to be the only animal to soak up all of her parents’ love!

Rosie loves her some outside time, and she is used to daily walks for her exercise. When she’s not outside walking or in the backyard frolicking and chasing butterflies, she likes to be curled up on the couch with her favorite humans. If she’s feeling energized inside, she’s always up for a game of tug-of-war or fetch, but she tuckers herself out in just a few minutes.

When Rose meets a new person, she’s a little cautious at first and prefers to warm up on her own time. but she warms up more quickly if that new friend has a treat to give her! With humans that she knows and loves, she’s just a big, cuddly, 45-pound lap dog. She loves to be as swaddled into a blanket as possible: she likes to burrow down and appreciates if someone can complete the swaddle by laying the rest of the blanket on top of her. Rosie is such a perceptive dog, and when she can sense that her people are having a tough day, she’ll trot up and place her paw on your arm or leg to let you know that she’s here for some cuddles if you need it -- she’s always happy to oblige!

We typically adopt to homes within 30 minutes of Athens, GA, as we require a basic home check to ensure all dogs are placed in a safe environment. If you are further away than that and are interested in one of our pups, please still fill out an application and we can discuss your options.
