Meet Rosa - ADOPTED

PLEASE EMAIL info@goldenhuggs.org the petfinder contact link is NOT WORKING

Meet ROSA, a 3-year old mixed breed female weighing 45#, who is an amazing and resilient pup.

Rosa will melt your heart with her affection and adaptability. She loves people, is eager to give kisses, and craves attention. She can “go with the flow” and meets most new situations with ease as long as her human is nearby. She gets along well with cats, dogs, and kids. She prefers hard toys to chew since her habit is to destroy soft ones. Rosa loves to lay outside and watch birds, squirrels, and other wildlife, chasing them if she can, chewing on sticks, and digging holes. She also loves to bark so would best in a country environment.

Rosa has recently had an FHO procedure. Rosa has rebounded and healed to discover her new life of running freely, wrestling with the resident dogs, and feeling joyful in her world. Her surgeon says she will need additional walking and exercise during the next few months to rebuild her muscle strength, and will continue to lead a normal active life in the future.

It is obvious that Rosa lived in a home before she was rescued. Her house manners are appropriate for her age, but she will chew on anything left unattended, so a cluttered house with lots of shoes, cords, and other objects free for the taking will not be in her best interest. She is housebroken, likes to be on furniture, does not need to be crated, and walks well on a leash.

In short, Rosa’s needs include:

*A secure physically fenced yard
*Another dog or doggie daycare for socialization
*Kids over 10 years of age
*A family committed to exercise and walking her to regain her muscle strength following surgery
*No more than 4 hours alone at a time
*A quiet neighborhood or country setting and uncluttered home and yard
*A family to love and cherish her for her lifetime!

If you can meet Rosa’s needs and are interested in adopting her, please apply at our website www.goldenhuggs.org

Rescue is more than a verb. It's a promise. Dogs come with a variety of needs - some behavioral, some emotional, some medical. When approved applicants rescue these dogs by adopting them, they take on whatever comes with the dog. This is what it means to rescue.

GHR ONLY ADOPTS TO ADULTS OVER THE AGE OF 25 AND PUPPIES TO PEOPLE WHO HAVE TIME FOR THEM.

It doesn't matter where the pups are from; it only matters where they live the rest of their lives. If you are interested in adopting, please complete an application at www.goldenhuggs.org, this is the first step in the process. The adoption fee is $585 which includes spay or neuter, shots age appropriate and transportation to the New England drop off points. For more information, please contact info@goldenhuggs.org.
