Meet Rory
2 year old neutered male collie
.
Rory was turned over to our shelter partner for unclear reasons. He is currently fairly anxious and does not appear to have been crate trained (he will be beginning today). He will pull on the leash, but does walk reasonably.
.
Anyone interested in Rory should understand the needs of a collie, and be prepared to deal with his coat -- there is a lot of it.
.
PUPDATE 2 August 2021: Rory is shy and under socialized with other dogs and is not a big fan of the out doors, which suggests a sequestered life before he arrived here. While I think he can move past his shyness/reticence, his adopter should be prepared to take a call or two, and to spend time conditioning Rory to a 'normal' dog life for his comfort. To be clear, he is not 'bad' with other dogs, but he doesn't see them as in his circle of needs, and will move away, rather than engage.
.
This dog is located in Maryland - we do not ship or transport dogs. For information on adoption, an FAQ, and our application, please see our website at mabcr.org. If you are interested in adoption, please submit an application, complete with documentation.
.
Dogs that have not lived previously with children will not be offered to homes where young children reside. We do not 'test' dogs with children or cats, since testing may not show an accurate picture, and may give false comfort to their new home. If a dog has lived with children or cats, that will be stated above.
