Roo Australian Cattle Dog / Blue Heeler Mix Bedminster, NJ

I am a 14 week old and a cattle dog mix. My foster mom says that I could be mixed with hound because of my big feet and how fast I'm growing. She also thinks I might be a bit on the big size.

I like others dogs and have enjoyed playing with my sisters and the dogs at my foster home. I am a bit on the shy side and like to go up to new people and new places slowly but once I am comfortable I love them.

I am getting better at nipping and am starting to really enjoy being pet without feeling the need to put the hand in my mouth. Sometimes I can't help myself but overall I am learning control.

I have learned that not jumping makes cookies, water and getting out of my crate happen. I am just starting to sit for those things but I prefer to stand. I like my crate and enjoy sleeping in there overnight.

Though I am getting better at not jumping sometimes I can't help myself...especially if someone else is trying to get a cookie or a pet.

I like to run around and play with my sisters alot but I like naps too. My foster mom says I am medium to high energy. Whatever that means.

I am so excited to look for my new home and hope you will consider me.

***Roo is NOT fully housetrained yet but is in the process of being housetrained. Please know this will be something you will need to work on but she is making great progress!

Roo will be good with kids over 10 as she is a bit on the nervous side and may not like the extra activity or loud noise that young kids can make.

She is a very sweet girl as she comes out of her shell she has a engaging personality. She is looking for the perfect home to bring out the best in her.
