Ronan (Avail. Sept 9) Great Pyrenees & Labrador Retriever Mix Kiowa, OK

I cannot even express how happy I am that I get to introduce this boy! We were so worried that we were going to lose him! Meet Ronan! ♥

MY STORY
If there was ever the pyrfect definition of a fighter it would be me. I was dumped in the shelter at a young age where I caught Parvo. I came down with it shortly after coming into rescue and was rushed to the vet. I was very sick and lethargic but I beat it. Then, came the bad upper respiratory infection which also came from the shelter. So, I was being treated for that. I was already weak from the parvo so was kept on the IV. Well, sadly the catheter slipped from my vein and went into my skin. This caused my leg to fill up with fluids and it was not a pretty sight. Everyone at the vet was so surprised that after everything that I was still fighting so hard, most dogs would have passed away already. I am a fighter though, and I overcame everything that was thrown at me. I spent 2.5 weeks at the vet before I finally got to come home! My leg still needed to be bandaged and treated, but I had a follow up visit a few days ago and I am doing great and could even lose the bandage! I am feeling so much better, and after a looong road am finally ready to start searching for my furever family!

ABOUT ME
My name is Ronan and I am a 17 week old male Great Pyrenees. I may be mixed with Labrador Retriever, but can't say for sure. I currently weigh about 20lbs and I will probably top out somewhere in the 70lb range give or take. Here is what my foster says about me
"Ronan had a rough start to life but he is finally getting to enjoy being a puppy. He loves toys and will only chew on those. He is the best snuggler and loves his humans. He likes to play with his cat and dog friends. He likes to play outside with his dog and human companions. He doesn’t know how to fetch but he loves running around and playing. He is almost potty trained, he understands he has to potty outside but he doesn’t always know how to communicate when he needs to go. In his crate, he uses the bathroom on potty pads only. He does well in his crate and he is in there for when we are away for more than a few hours. Otherwise he has free reign. We are working on the leash. He can’t walk on the leash yet but we’ve gotten to where he isn’t terrified of it. He is such a sweet, kind boy. He has so much love to give."

I am good with other dogs and cats. I haven't been around any kids. I am working on my potty trained, but am kennel trained. When no one is home I am either free roaming or baby gated.

WHAT AM I LOOKING FOR IN MY NEW HOME
LOVE! I want to be spoiled. And by spoiled I want a family that is going to adore me like I will them. One that wants to keep showing me the good life, take me on fun adventures, and help me live life to the fullest! I would love another dog in my home for companionship, but if my owner is home most of the day it is not a must.

I still find it so surreal that I am here and talking to you now. And even crazier that I am talking about someone adopting me. The thought of finding my furever home...it is just all so amazing! My adoption fee is $275 and that will include two sets of puppy shots and wormings, Parvo Treatment, bordatella, rabies, neuter, and micro-chip. I will also be current on my heart-worm and flea/tick prevention.
