ROMEO IS BEING FOSTERED IN TEXAS BUT IS ABLE TO TRAVEL TO IOWA ON ONE OF OUR UPCOMING TRANSPORTS.
Romeo was found at a community mailbox in Cleveland, a known dumping ground for unwanted pets. Along with three other dogs, he was abandoned. This beautiful, big German Shepherd mix is around 1.5 years old, and now ready to find his forever family!
Romeo is a goofy, sweet dog with a loving personality. He’s been great with other dogs and gets along well with kids over 5 years old. Because of his size, he’s still learning to manage his playful energy, but he’s eager to please and is picking up new things quickly. Romeo is crate-trained and does great on a leash. He’s also food motivated, so he’s a quick learner when it comes to basic commands. He already knows how to sit for a treat and is sure to impress you with his willingness to learn more.
Health Update: Romeo is heartworm positive, which is common among strays in the South. The good news is that he is completing treatment and is on his way to being heartworm negative soon. If you have any questions about his health, please don’t hesitate to reach out via email.
Romeo is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, on monthly preventative, dewormed, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $400, and that includes transport to our Cedar Rapids, IA location.
