Meet Romeo
Fresh off the press, Romeo is our newest addition to SGSDR!
This handsome 4 yr old came to us from a local shelter. He is social and friendly with everyone he meets and LOVES to play. Toys are the best. Squeaky toys are even better! Romeo has spent some time in a home with shelter staff so we have a little insight into how he does there - his report card said he got a 100% on being a good boy - he's house trained, crate trained, and was even left out of the crate for short amounts of time and did well. Of course, we always recommend starting out with a crate just to be safe until Romeo knows the rules and routine of his new home.
Romeo does well with other dogs with proper introductions. He walked through the cat room at the shelter and was non-reactive...so he may be cat safe, but we would advise caution and supervised interaction at first. While very friendly, Romeo can be a bit mouthy when being playful so he may be a bit much for young children. Older dog savvy kids would be best.
As is the case for most German Shepherds, Romeo would best benefit from an active home where his new family would work on training and continued socialization to help him be the best dog he can be. Could that be you?

*Dogs and puppies 12 months old or younger: $450
* Adult dogs over 12 months of age: $400
* Senior dogs over 7 years of age qualify for our "Seniors FUREVER" program! Seniors are special to us, so we offer two options:
(1) If your heart has a special place for the seniors, you can adopt a senior dog for the regular adoption fee of $400 and this becomes a perpetual fee. You can adopt another SGSDR senior dog at any time from us in the future at NO CHARGE.
(2) If you aren't sure about your future adoption capacity, you may adopt your SGSDR senior dog for a reduced adoption fee of $250.
