You must be 25 yrs of age or older to adopt through us. We are in the Rochester NY area and adopt dogs out to area residents.
REQUIREMENTS: Must live within 1/2 hr radius of Rochester NY and having a physically fenced in yard is favored. No children under 6 yrs.

Romeo is an active 6 lb, 2-3 yr old. He's just completed his vaccinations, and we are waiting for a neuter surgery date. Romeo will definitely need an active playmate to keep him stimulated. A fenced in yard would be ideal. Since he's so young and can be nippy when playing, no kids under 6 yrs. Romeo is willing to be in a crate with an initial whine or two. As he is not yet altered he will mark in home but we use (and will supply) a belly band to prevent marking. He is a sweet boy who loves to cuddle with people and is full of personality.
He will be neutered as soon as we can get him appointment, but can go to his furever home under a special contract. You would get him to our clinic once we are given a neuter date and then pick up from rescue and complete adoption at that time. All animals are kept in foster homes so there is no shelter for you to visit animal. Please go to https://new2urescue.org/adoption/adoption-application/ if you would like to meet the foster animal or learn more.

All our dogs have been spayed/neutered; treated for worms; heartworm tested (if age appropriate -7 mths or older); treated for fleas/ticks; microchip; and examined by veterinarian and given age appropriate vaccinations. We take every effort to ensure the health of the animal and you will receive a copy of all vet work performed.
