Roma (Italy litter)'s Story

FIRST STEPS: Please visit https://www.save-a-mutt.org/adoption-application/ to fill out an application - a Petfinder Inquiry is not the adoption process. We don't do meet and greets until applications have been approved. All our dogs are located IN Washington State - we are a local foster based rescue and no transport from another state required. :) Thanks!

---

Meet the Italy litter! Our puppy foster coordinator was asked to guess what breed they were and she nailed it - Chihuahua / Pitbull or ChiPits! Ha! At 16 weeks, these pups are in the 15# range. Mommy Florence is about 30#, and they also have two older brothers that are in the 30# range as well. So we think they will be great size between 30-35# when fully grown.

Roma is very sweet. She's very much about bouncing between cuddling in the foster mom's lap and running with her littermates. They are silly pack of puppies, enjoying quiet belly rubs, but then run run run play when they are outside. They can be alert barkers on occasion, mostly to new things, they are surprisingly quiet. They love the resident dogs in the foster home and are curious about the foster mom's cat and we think dog savvy cats would be fine - they are puppies!

Crating and housebreaking is going great.

This puppy is spayed, microchipped and has all her puppy shots. She just needs a rabies vaccine. Puppies are good with dogs, cats, kids and more. Being a puppy, they will need lots of training, including housebreaking. Remember, puppies are cute, but they have sharp teeth, need to be fed 3 times a day and poop... a lot!

Each dog goes home with a goody bag including collar/leash, toys, chews, Kong, and more. You will receive all medical records, microchip transfer form and other paperwork at the time of adoption.

Adoptions typically take place in Marysville.
Adoption fee is $475. Save-A-Mutt is a registered 501c3 and half of your adoption fee may be tax deductible.

Save-A-Mutt is a foster based rescue, we do not have a facility to visit. Our adoptions are typically done Monday - Saturday, we are closed on Sunday’s to give our volunteers at least one day off. You must be available to do meets and adoptions during that time frame. We can make exceptions only with the approval of the foster home.

Please note, we have approximately a 300 mile adoption radius - Portland OR area and Vancouver BC is the farthest north. We don’t ship dogs, once approved you must pick them up in Snohomish County, WA. Canadian adopters must be able to come to Stanwood WA to pick up your puppy.
