Rolo Retriever Mix Schaumburg, IL

Howdy, Rolo here! I am named after a candy because of my caramel-colored coat and sweet chocolate face.

I’m an almost 5-month-old Retriever mix and am proud to say that I am already housebroken. I also know sit (especially if treats are involved) and want to learn so much more. I don't really know what this crate is that people talk about. At my foster home I hang out with my brother Dobbie in the gated kitchen.

Now let's be completely honest: I do like to steal shoes and hide them. If you have kids that don't know how to pick up after themselves, I could help you teach them an important lesson. When it comes to food, I don't have any issues and if you have peanut butter that you will share with me then we are already friends.

I do like to zig-zag on my leash during walks, but hey, there is so much world to explore — can you blame me! One of my favorite things is the yard; it’s a magical place where I can smell everything and play. It's a great place for me to run off some of my considerable energy. Birds don't really do anything for me and I am curious about squirrels but don't bother to chase them. Likewise, I am cat-friendly. Big dogs who get close to my face make me nervous, but otherwise I am pretty chill.

Though a little shy at first, once I warm up I become the snuggle baby of the house, especially if there are belly rubs available (happy to rolo-over for those).
