If life ever gets you down, I’m just the pup to cheer you up! My name is Rolan, and despite being a big dog, I like to pretend I’m a lap dog. I love cuddles and pets, and I respond well to praise. I know how to sit, go to bed when asked, come when you whistle, and I’m learning how to lie down. I still don’t quite know my name yet, but that’s not too big of an issue since I respond so well to all of my other commands. I am potty trained and crate trained, and I am perfectly comfortable sleeping in my crate every night. I love to go on walks and play with my squeaky toys—my snake toy is my favorite—which makes me the perfect companion if you like going on adventures and playing around the house.

I have a dog friend in my foster home and we loved playing together and sharing our toys with each other! I don’t love super energetic male dogs some of the time but I’ve gotten along with most dogs I meet. So I think I’d enjoy another dog in my forever home but would need to meet him or her first to make sure we’re buddies! I haven’t had the chance to be around any cats so I cant be recommended to a home with a cat friend. I also haven’t met young children, but my easygoing nature and kind personality should make me a good companion for companions over age 5yrs old.

Also, please note that I am able to climb over 4ft fences (especially chain link fences!) so I do need to go to a home with a 6ft fenced in yard or an apartment situation. The main reason I’ve climbed the fence is to get back to my humans so I’m not really the type to run away! But for my security and safety, no short fences/chain link fences for me please.
