Meet Rocky in Tucson

11/7/08 ROCKY IS ADOPTED!!!!! WAY TO GO ROCKY!!!!!!

The Alliance is very pleased to announce that there is now a dane rescue in Tucson. GRATEFUL DANE RESCUE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rocky is their first rescue dane to be listed on Petfinder so please welcome them with all the warmth and support you have shown the Alliance over the past 13 years. Thank you....

Rocky is a young fawn dane who is looking for his forever family. He came to rescue through animal control. His body had wounds which have since healed very nicely, he was underweight. and understandably fearful having been out on the streets for who knows how long. Since being in rescue he has gained 15 pounds!!!!!!!! Go Rocky!!!!!!!

This handsome boy is very sweet tempered and would do very well with a calm, well adjusted female companion dog. He loves to cuddle and of course, is a leaner!!!!! He walks well on a leash, loves belly rubs and groans like a bear when he is happy!!!!!! He currently resides with other dogs & cats.

Rocky is a very sweet boy who would love a home with adults or a family with older kids, 12 , as he is still fine tuning his people skills!!! Since this handsome boy is not a huge lug of a dane, weighing in at 100lbs, he would be GREAT for a first time dane owner!

If you would like to meet Rocky please contact GRATEFUL DANE RESCUE/ 520 904-7350 or email them at gratefuldane@ymail.com. A home check and meet & greet with all family members is required. An adoption contract and fee do apply. His adoption fee is $250.00.

If you are having a hard time with today's economy and you're not real sure what lies in the near future for you, a dane may not be a good choice at this time. They should not have grocery store bought food, their vet bills are always more than other pets and they are not outdoor pets. Most danes are couch potatoes!!!!!!! We just want what is best for our danes and want them to go to forever homes. Please understand.
