Meet Rocky
Hi, my name is Rocky! Here is what would work best for me in my new home:
-Personality: Social, friendly, playful, happy!
-Can Live with Kids: We don't have any history on how Rocky does with kids so it's hard to say for sure, but we have not observed anything concerning from him during his time in the shelter. He could likely live with kids of any age, as long as they know they might get knocked down on occasion- Rocky doesn't always realize his size :) Everyone will need to meet at the shelter first to ensure they all get along.
-Can Live with Cats: No, Rocky has a prey drive and needs a cat-free home.
-Can Live with Dogs: No thanks! Rocky will need to go into a home where he is the only dog.
-Can do Apartment Living: No, this large, active boy needs space to run and stretch his legs! A home with a fenced yard would be ideal, but not required
-Potty Trained: Appears to be!
-Bite History: No
-Positive Reward Based Obedience Classes Required: Not required but would certainly be beneficial!
-Energy Level: High
-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: Yes, neuter/microchip
Additional Information: Happy, smiley, silly, ROCKY! This big ol goober is tons of fun and always up for a good time. Rocky has the best goofy grin and has a unique zest for life. He wants to run and play and join you on all your adventures! Rocky is a large, active dog that will need lots of exercise, play time, and mental stimulation. If you're an equally active human who enjoys things like hiking, snowshoeing, running, swimming, etc, Rocky would be a great match for you!
Rocky can be a bit strong-willed at times and will need continued, consistent training to help him be the best dog he can be. Malamutes are a powerful drafting breed and true to his roots, Rocky can pull VERY strongly when he wants to get to something he wants and his future adopter will need to be able to physically handle him - not a good match for petite people or seniors. Life with Rocky will be full of love and laughter! If he sounds like the pup for you, fill out an application to come in and meet him!
