Meet Rocky - PENDING

Doxie Lovers Behold!! If you love the breed because they love to burrow under the blankets at night just to be near you, then Rocky will not disappoint! And if you think the "Doxie Shake" is the cutest thing when they get a toy in their mouth, then Rocky will provide you with hours of entertainment! And if you think Doxies are the perfect size for a lap dog, Rocky might take 2 tries to jump in, but he'll be determined to make it and stay there as long as you let him!!
We'll never know what happened in Rocky's past to make him so distrustful of men, but if you're a single woman we promise Rocky will be the Ladies Man of your dreams! Just read what his foster mom wrote:
"One day recently Rocky was in my lap and was slowly creeping up toward my face. I asked, what are you doing? And he reached up to my face with his head and laid the side of his face on my cheek, the turned his head to lay on the other side. He just seemed to melt at that moment. I have never had a dog do that to me; I felt as though he was giving me all the love he had in his heart. Heartbreaking moment!"
Rocky was picked up as a stray in rural Arkansas where dogs have a one-way door in. When we found out about him, we had to pull him to safety and his tail has been wagging ever since! He's a happy spunky boy (don't tell him he's an adult!!) and he loves playing with the other small dog at his foster home. He loves leash walks, prancing around as though he's so proud to "belong" to someone again. He will bark at new people, and unfortunately he does react to men and children; we can only imagine that he's not been treated nicely by either. So Rocky's perfect home will be women-only, with or without another dog.
We think Rocky is about 8 years old, he weighs about 16 pounds and he's a very healthy boy. We think he's purebred, but he doesn't have any papers with him.
