Meet Rocket (Courtesy Listing)

Henrico Humane Society is trying to help the owners of Rocket rehome her. She is an amazing Australian Cattle Dog that was adopted from us back in 2017. Due to a move to a farm by the adopter it has become necessary to try and find Rocket another home.

Rocket is 5 years old and is current on vaccines and is spayed and house trained. She will need a fenced yard as Cattle dogs do have lots of high energy to work off.  She is relatively low energy after she calms down from greeting you. She is friendly with most other submissive dogs. She loves playing with the owners male Frenchie, but although she does live with two cats, there is no guarantee that Rocket will not chase your cat.

Rocket has great prey drive and this is the reason the owner needs to rehome her. They moved to a free-range poultry farm two years ago, and Rocket loves to catch ducks and chickens that wander into their fenced area. This prey drive has caused her time outside to be limited and unfair.

The owner's other Frenchie, a female, does not get along with Rocket and that has contributed to the owners needing to find Rocket another home. Rocket is not the aggressor - it is the female Frenchie.
