Rocco's Story

Meet Rocco!
Rocco is a 2-year-old, 55-lb, happy-go-lucky sweetheart with lots of energy and even more love to give. He’s a friendly, affectionate, silly boy who absolutely adores people and wants to be involved in everything you do. He’s also incredibly cuddly and fully convinced he’s a lap dog!

Personality & Training
Rocco is high-energy, adventurous, athletic, playful, and very food-motivated, making him super teachable. He’s crate trained, knows basic commands, and is making steady progress with leash walking. He still pulls, but he’s responsive: when you stop, he stops right away and often even sits to wait for direction. He truly wants to learn.

He’s also working on keeping “four on the floor.” Rocco gets excited when greeting people, so he can be jumpy, especially when overstimulated. With consistency and positive reinforcement, he calms quickly: turning your back, asking for “sit,” or giving him an appropriate chew all work beautifully.

Ideal Home
Because he can be a bit of a bouncy goofball, Rocco would do best in a home with kids 12+ while he continues learning polite greetings. He also needs a cat-free home.

Rocco loves:
* Walks and outdoor adventures
* Treats (his absolute favorite!)
* Chew bones
* Belly rubs and cuddles
* Being near his people
* Toys, playing, and exploring

What He Needs
Rocco needs a loving, patient family who will continue guiding him with positive reinforcement, structure, and consistency. He thrives when given clear boundaries and plenty of affection (especially once he’s calm!). With the right people, he will blossom into an incredible partner and a devoted family dog.

The Heart of Rocco
He is sweet, goofy, eager to please, curious, protective in a loving way, and incredibly affectionate. He truly wants to be the best boy—and with a caring adopter who invests in his training and offers him the guidance he’s never had before, he absolutely will be.
