Meet Robin
Robin is a 1-2 year old Chihuahua mix about the size of a small house cat. She's sweet and very cute with a great personality. You can expect her to be timid and shy at first meet but she warms quickly. She sleeps next to me, snuggled under the blanket up against my hip.
She greets you at the door with an incredibly cute "dance" - up on her back feet and waving both paws until she eventually rolls over on her back and wags her tail while you rub her belly. It's so cute, we've taught her to do this dance upon command.
She's small but doesn't know it so don't be fooled by her size, she's got attitude and will protect her bowl and her treats from dogs much larger. She currently lives in foster with 6 other dogs who weigh between 25 and 45 lbs.
When we got her into foster she wouldn't walk on a leash, she would stubbornly sit and buck wildly if there was any pressure on her harness. Now, she likes going on walks and will walk more than 3 miles with her tail wagging the whole time although when she sees a stranger approach she will sometimes freeze in place.
She loves to lay in the sun and will spend all afternoon laying in the garden mulch or upon the asphalt driveway.
Her ideal home will have another small dog who can set a good example while she gains confidence. Bonus if you have a small yard with lots of sunshine. She can be scared of lots of commotion so a quiet home is best.
Robin is being fostered in Olympia, Wa. She is up to date on her shots and recently spayed. Her adoption fee is $350 and you can apply to adopt at https://www.mywayhomedogrescue.org/adopt/apply-to-adopt/
