ROADIE is an incredible spirit looking for his special SoulHuman to snuggle close & adventure through life with. He is a TriPawd Wooly Husky with considerations in place for the best interest of the health & longevity of his 3 remaining legs...as well as his "King of the World" bigger than life, adorable, FloofFace personality. He is truly magical & deserves the most loving human(s) in return. ROADIE has SO MUCH LOVE to give back 100-fold!
He is super duper snuggly, soft & he sings the beautiful songs of his people....WooWoo ArhooRooooo WooWooWoo!! ROADIE rides great in the car & he LoooVes going on daytrips, weekenders & overnights, or long road trip adventures. He is housetrained, cratetrained & walks well on his leash + harness (except when he sees a chipmunk, a roadrunner or a bunny - hang on!) Sometimes ROADIE likes to play chase with his person & wrestle "Rawr Rawr Rawr"! More than ANYthing, he loves affection, being the best boy in the world, special snuggle time, getting pets & being told how handsome he is. Hes also great at the groomer!
Being a Tripawd doesn't keep ROADIE from going on walks, doing zoomies in the yard or playing on his long-line at the (dog friendly, human) parks. Hes also a very polite pet-friendly patio guest & he loves to meet new people. ROADIE is ready to find his special FoReVeR Family...he has been waiting a long time :(
- ROADIE will need a home with a majority of carpet (or lots of no-slip rugs) in the house (good traction is a must!) He has no problem with stairs that have a secure/carpeted place to "land".
- ROADIE will do best as the only pet in the home. No cats, pocket pets or birds & we ask that any children be 10+.
- ROADIE needs access to a yard with some grass, if possible & a 5ft min fence or wall to keep him safe. He loves to birdwatch & doing zoomies outside, often resulting in burn-outs & shouldnt fall on hard dirt or rock.
- No dog parks for ROADIE. But he looooves going for walks, or Bosque outings on his long-line!!
We do not want any of these considerations to keep ROADIE from finding a home....we just want to ensure that ROADIE finds the right home :)
ROADIE is a truly amazing Husky companion & he deserves the best life has to offer!

As an all volunteer, foster based, 501(c)3 non profit rescue, NMDOG is always in need of new, approved foster & adoptive homes in order to continue our Mission: to serve & protect New Mexico's Forgotten Dogs!! #UNchained
If you see a dog you are interested in that says "in need of a foster home", we are currently seeking a temporary foster home for that dog in order to provide them with the cozy & loving experience of a home environment while we work hard to find their forever family. This also frees up space & funds, which enables us to save another life. There is never a cost to foster for NMDOG & you will have the dedicated support of the NMDOG TEAM every step of the way. We take the time to really get to know the needs & personalities of our kids & we go the extra mile to ensure we make the best possible match...setting our dogs & their humans up for success! To learn more about the NMDOG Foster Program, please visit this link on our website - www.nmdog.org/foster
Our adoption fee is $250 which includes: a full medical clearance prior to adoption, a complimentary vet wellness check, our dogs come with all of the supplies they need to get started on a trial adoption in their new home & more! All adopted dogs also receive free or discounted goodies & services from many of our awesome community partners!! Fi GPS collars are required for some NMDOGS...in this case, we provide the collar + device at no charge & add an additional $99 will be added to the adoption fee which covers a year's worth of GPS service. tryfi.com
NMDOG doesn't cut any corners when it comes to the care & placement of our dogs. When a dog enters the NMDOG program, they are guaranteed to receive the very best of care. All of our available dogs have received a full medical & behavioral clearance prior to placement. They are (at the very minimum) spayed or neutered, UTD on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped, dewormed, heartworm tested + they are currently on heartworm & flea/tick preventative. Due to the nature of our work, many of the dogs we rescue need much more extensive care before they are cleared for adoption. We also offer hands-on continued training support as needed, for all of our dogs (& their peeps!) at no additional charge!
At NMDOG, we stand by our dogs for life & we make a promise to always be there for them (& their people) should they ever need us..."Once an NMDOG, always an NMDOG".
Please contact us with your interest in becoming a treasured NMDOG Foster Guardian or FoReVeR Guardian Angel to one of our amazing dogs in need! Direct email contact for applications ~
