Meet Ritter
Meet party boy Ritter. This boy was a staff favorite from the sending shelter in Alabama. Now he’s the most popular pup at his doggie daycare. Aside from his stunning good looks, what’s up with this 1-year-old Hound (likely Harrier) mix?
His foster mom reports, “He is stunning — such a gorgeous dog. His ears are literally made of velvet. Ritter's going to be an amazing family member. He is young and is trying to be a good boy, but makes a mistake here and there. You can't stay mad at him though, he will look at you with that big goofy grin, that waggly tail and that one ear flipped over and you will melt all over again!”
Ritter loves to play, play, play! He’s a goofy, active young fella who will need regular exercise. He gets along with everyone — the other dogs at day care, new people, kids, cats. Certain the world is full of all good things, Ritter welcomes everyone and convinces them of his world view!
He’s still a pup, so is working on reining in his exuberance. Ritter might be found counter surfing or stealing a shoe here and there, but he is easily redirected. He’s doing great with potty training. As for the crate, he’ll bark when left alone in it so living in an apartment or condo might be problematic. But in terms of behaviors, nothing a little time and training won’t solve.
