Looking for endless snuggles!

Hi, pals! My name is Ripley, and believe it or not, I'm a 3.5-year-old neutered Shepherd mix, weighing in at 53 pounds. I'm the absolute sweetest boy, and I've come all the way from Tijuana to find my furever home! I was relinquished shortly after my adoption and was not a good fit in their home.

I'm a true Velcro doggie, and there is nothing more in the world that I want than to be loved and receive attention from my people. I'm happy chilling and cuddling all day long with you, but I also enjoy going out for walks and playing fetch. I get along with other doggies just fine and really enjoy running around off-leash at dog parks, but my preferred friends are smaller and calmer dogs. As you can see, I'm a tripod, but that hasn't held me down one bit!

I am crate-trained and house-trained (no destructive tendencies here!), and I have no separation anxiety to speak of. One thing that I am working on right now, though, is my pulling while on a leash. However, I'm making great progress, and with my eagerness to learn and receive training, I'm sure I'll master it in no time. I will need some help with anxiety management and understanding that I can relax at home and around my people.

My ideal household would probably be in a home without kids. While I am very tolerant of kiddos, I really crave the attention and company of adults. Other than that, all I need is love and attention! Just make sure that cuddles and belly rubs, and me being allowed to be a lap dog, are all check marked! I would need continued training and support, specially with slow introductions with new people and while leash walking, to prevent resource guarding my own family.
