Wak-9 training worked with Rip today (3-3-23) and he did awesome. He knows how to sit, lay down, heel and shake, come. Very eager to learn. Hes very food and toy motivated and is very sweet. LOVES belly rubs! He is a big strong dog and will need a strong confident handler. Loves to play tug. He will take treats gently when asked.

Rip came in as a transfer from another shelter who was out of room. He is 3 and a half years old and weighs about 87 pounds. We don't know much about him except the few notes that were sent with him and what we are learning along the way. So far he does not do well with other dogs. We have not done any meet and greets with him but we would suggest he be the only dog in the household. His notes from the other shelter did say he lunged at other dogs walking by his kennel but the excitement from all the dogs coming in its common for dogs to react. His notes say he is good with children but we have not tested him with kids as of yet. His kennel notes say he is not good with cats and we have not tested him ourselves.

He is not quite ready to go yet as he needs to scheduled to be fixed but a $25 non refundable hold fee can hold him until he is ready to go and that fee will go towards his adoption fee. If you are local, you may qualify for our foster to adopt program.

before applying for adoption. Once we receive your application it will be gone through and then you will be called to schedule a meet and greet.
