Rip German Wirehaired Pointer & Poodle Mix Holmdel, NJ

Rip is a 2 year old, 55lb male german wirehair pointer/poodle mix!. He might even be just a german longhaired pointer. He is a big ball of goofy, boundless energy. Rip is looking for a home with a yard. He is high energy sporting dog who will need daily enrichment and mental stimulation. He loves to be the center of attention, and if he isn't getting enough, he'll put his (huge) paws on your knees to let you know. All he wants to do is play, be pet and go on endless walks. He loves spending time with his people and he loves to be hugged.

He is fully potty trained and has not had any accidents. Rip does display some resource guarding when he obtains a high value food item like human food from the counter. Likely due to food insecurity in his past. It can come as a surprise because he is a bundle of joy the other 98% of the time. He is responding to correction and learning commands to manage this behavior. For this reason, a home without small children would be ideal.
We know Rip is SUPER handsome and lovable looking. However, at this time, we are looking for a very specific home for Rip that will continue his training and give him the tools he needs to be the very best boy!
