Ringo came to us in August 2020 with two badly broken back legs after being found laying on the side of the road by a good Samaritan. Both legs were broken just above the knee. Ringo could have been hit by a car, but with the symmetry of the breaks, it is also a likelihood that he may have jumped out of the back of a moving truck.
Ringo has undergone multiple different surgeries on his legs and months of rehab to get him back on the road to health. He is finally ready to find a forever home of his own.
Ringo is two to three years old and he weighs around 50 pounds. He is a young, energetic boy who wants to run and play. He has been with small dogs in his foster home and has done okay with them.
Ringo needs a specific type of home to ensure his success. Ringo will chase cars - his home will need to be in a quieter neighborhood and area, without a lot of car traffic. We won't place him downtown where there would be consistent triggers for him. Ringo will also require a fenced in yard or area to help keep him safe.
Adoption fee is $400.00 + tax (no checks)

Please contact his foster to learn more about him.
Our fosters do the best they can to provide all information about the animal's background and temperament while in foster care in their home. An adopters routine and home environment is likely going to be different than that in their foster home.
Sometimes there is more that comes out about a dog's personality once they have been able to settle in a home and truly become comfortable. There are great articles out there written about the different stages a pet goes through after adoption, discussing transitions that happen at 3 days, 3 weeks, and 3 months. We highly recommend reading about this - it will help you understand the transition your new pet goes through.
