Riley's Story

This very handsome boy is Riley! (aka Ri, RiRi, Ridog, and Riguy) Riley is an approximately 6-year-old male Pit Bull mix and weighs around 65 lbs. He was rescued after being abandoned in the country. Riley is so sweet and loving! He is a favorite with his kennel tech at the vet, who spends lots of time with him and loves to put funny hats on him! He is a great sport! He hasn’t been around children, but he is so gentle and loving, he should be great with them. Riley could definitely be your best friend. He loves all humans that he meets! He does like and plays with other dogs but because he is a little intimated by some dogs, he needs to meet all dogs in the household before going to foster or being adopted. His best playmate would be one of low to moderate energy. He LOVES his toys at boarding and would love a home where he would get lots of attention and included in activities! He is a pretty laid-back guy. Riley is crate-trained, keeps a clean kennel at the vet, and could benefit from walking with a harness or an Easy Walker type leash. He requires a backyard with a secure stockade fence. Home check required! He rides excellent in a car. Riley is neutered, current on vaccines, on heartworm preventative, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $225.00 He is currently in boarding, so he qualifies for a foster-to-adopt home, foster, or adoption. Forever Yours Dog Rescue's Adoption Policy

Every dog that is rescued by Forever Yours is checked by a veterinarian, vaccinated, spay/neutered, dewormed, heartworm/ehrlichia tested and treated if needed, and microchipped. We also treat any other illnesses or issues that the dog may have on intake. We require an adoption application (FYDRadopt.com), but we do not require that you give us your first born or the deed to your house to adopt from us. Our adoption fee is $225.00. If available, you will get an opportunity to talk to your chosen pet's foster family when you meet your potential new family member. This will enable you to ask any questions and learn all about your pet. Forever Yours Dog Rescue does not have a facility, all of our wonderful rescues are in foster homes with families that take care of them and love them until their forever homes come along. We are currently not holding adoption events and doing all adoptions through an online application and then setting up individual meetings for potential adopters. Therefore to meet a dog, we ask that you fill out an application so we can see if a good fit first. The application is in no way an obligation for you to adopt.
