Rigsby (male - right) and Kahlua(female) are 8 year old littermates. They are Flat Coat Retrievers, and both have diabetes. These two sweethearts came to us because of illness and financial hardship in their family. They spent some time at our vet hospital and their condition is stabilized. They are on special food and two insulin injections a day. We first thought they needed to be adopted together, but Kahlua is a bit impatient and snappish with Rigsby, so they may do best in separate homes. He requires at least a 4 foot fence.

Rigsby is 8 years old. His current weight is around 75 pounds.

We are currently only open by appointment only. Due to the recent pandemic, we are looking at the safety of our volunteers that are there to take care of the dogs. Only serious inquiries will be considered.

Then meet him at the shelter during adoption hours on Saturdays and Sundays 10 - 2pm. All members of the household need to meet the dog you are interested in. Vet records for any current or previous pets need to be provided. If all goes well, a home visit will be done prior to adoption.
