PERSONALITY TRAITS:
Rico is dog and respectful kid friendly and is house and leash trained. Rico was fostered with an 18 y/o chihuahua mix and did fine. He's shown no interest in other dogs when out walking on leash. A round of positive reinforcement classes would benefit Rico so he could brush up on basic commands.
Note from his foster:
“He's an absolute doll, fine with small dogs, seems fine with big dogs, doesn't worry about people/dogs walking by the fence, good with small children, not a barker/chaser, etc.”
Note from the shelter:
Rico is a handsome boy with a heart as big as his blockhead. He loves people, does well with dogs both big and small, is good with children, and is happy to just take a stroll around the neighborhood. Though he's perhaps too interested in cats, he's otherwise proven to be a calm, mellow dude who just wants to
stretch his legs with his person or people, then crash out on the couch for cuddles.
