Meet Ricky Ricardo
Ricky Ricardo is a handsome young devil in search of an experienced home who will keep him honest to his newly-learned manners!
At only 1.5 years old, Ricky came to us from our friends at Lee's Summit Animal Shelter, where he'd been picked up as a stray.
Good with dogs his size (and upon proper introductions), he was less sure about people ... and leashes ... and crates ... and gates .... and well, he was pretty unsure about lots of things.
We figured we needed to give this guy a paw up on how to be a member of a family, so Ricky recently completed a 3 week training stay to learn obedience, impulse control, and (importantly) how to chill out!
Now back at his foster home, Ricky is proving himself a good student, and continues to honor everything he's learned under his foster mom's guidance.
Ricky is another GSD who came to us knowing very little about how to live well in a human world. He's on the righteous path now and looking for a family of his own.
