Meet Rex
Rex is a healthy25 lbs, 3 year old neutered Dachshund Mix. He is adorable and a real charmer. He loves to play with squeaky toys and enjoys indoor and outdoor fun. He is house trained, crate trained and knows sit, down, touch, come, watch me and go to your place.
He loves learning new things using positive reinforcement. He is not a barker.
Rex loves to play hard and then relax and cuddle on the couch. His leash skills are good. Rex needs to be included in household goings on. He can be somewhat of a " velcro dog" or a shadow especially if he feels insecure.
His foster says: "
Rex can be successful in a home as long as his people stick with his training plan. He
will do well in a low- stress household. He gets along well with other small to medium -sized dogs.
He struggles to relax around males so a female-led household would be best. Males and supervised children in the home must be willing and able to interact with Rex on his terms. Adopters must be willing to meet with Rex's professional trainer who has volunteered 3 free in-home training sessions. Rex is a charmer who enjoys hanging out on the couch with his people and playing with his toys and puzzles."
