NYS Registered Rescue # RR102
NGPR dogs are in foster homes throughout the U.S., NOT Beacon, NY. View full listing, fee and online application at - www.nationalpyr.org/rescue-dogs (sorry, no phone submissions, but if you would like more information you can call 877-739-3582 or email us at renpyrgroup@yahoo.com).
Secure VISIBLE fencing is required; invisible fencing WILL NOT contain this breed.
NGPR does not adopt dogs to homes with children under 6 years old.
Previous dog experience is required, preferably large breed.
Female Great Pyrenees rarely cohabitate with other females successfully. Our goal is for each adoption to be a permanent placement, therefore homes that already have a female dog are not eligible to adopt a female Pyr.
Introducing Renee — a young, fun-loving, happy gal who is ready to find her furever family! This sweet girl came into rescue with six puppies and is oh so happy that she will now be able to finish being a puppy herself. She was born in the home she came from and never knew anything else so she was a little scared when she first came to NGPR. Renee is friendly and playful and gets along great with other dogs. She walks nicely on a leash and is especially fond of children...when her foster mom’s daughter came to meet her that first day her entire demeanor changed from scared to happy! Renee is crate trained and housebroken. When introduced to cats she was a little too interested so we would recommend only dog-savvy cats with parents who would be willing to teach her to respect those furry felines! Renee would love a home with children, a big yard to play in, an active family who will show her what fun life can be, and maybe another dog to romp and play with. Would you consider opening your home and heart to this special girl?
