Remy is a beautiful sweet Aussie who didn’t get the best start in life. He was rescued from the Martinez shelter where he had shut down. He was not well socialized in his other life so he needs slow introductions to people and dogs. Despite this he bonded quickly with his foster and is fine with her female Aussie. He is uncertain with his foster’s male dog.

Remy is full of energy and loves to run so a fenced in yard is a must. He needs obedience training and currently knows sit and touch. He could be a great hiking or running buddy. After training he may be an agility dog candidate.

Remy is neutered, microchipped and current on shots. He’s estimated to be 3 yro (could be younger) and ~50lbs. He hasn’t been tested with cats. A home with older children is recommended since Remy jumps in excitement. Once you gain his trust Remy is very affectionate and will work happily for treats.

Remy is at a foster home in Santa Rosa.

Please no apartments, condos, or mobile home parks. A home check is required.

No out of state adoptions. Adoption fees are non-negotiable.
