Little Red Beagle Cumming, GA

Little Red is about 2 years old and weighs around 20 lbs. Little Red is painfully shy, and has trouble trusting humans. He will initiate some light petting under his chin, but right now would prefer to observe humans from a distance (unless treats are near - he is very food-motivated!)

However, what he lacks in social skills with people he makes up for in his interactions with other canines - Little Red absolutely ADORES other dogs, no matter their size. He lights up when he's with other dogs, and his ideal home would include another dog to help him learn to continue to trust humans. Little Red would do best with a fenced-in yard, as he can be skittish. While Little Red doesn't have a mean bone in his body, no small kids for this guy please - he would run from them.

Little Red is currently working with a professional trainer, and would do best with an adopter who is willing to continue his training. Behind his fear and uncertainty is a wonderful dog who deserves a loving home!

Your Current Pets - We do require that all of your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered.

Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a homecheck prior to adoption.
