Meet Red. Save-A-Mutt is working to find the PERFECT home for this sweet boy.

Red is a beautiful Doberman who at 9 years old still has the energy of a younger dog. He is looking for a home with big dog experience that will cherish him through his senior years. We tested him with cats and decided he should be in a cat free home because he likes to chase them. He is a big boy at 70 pounds so a home without small children would be best.

He likes to play hard so small dogs are a big no for him but, with proper introductions, Red would do well with another dog his size who is calm and submissive. He made friends with a very calm lab shepherd mix who just ignores Red when he gets to energized.

Red is loving and sweet to everyone that he meets and, according to his foster family, he is a champion couch potato. He is also very good at counter surfing:) Red is dreaming of an active home where he can go on long walks and hikes with his people.

Like many dobermans he is a 'leaner' and loves attention from his people. He does not care for crates unless the door stays open. Red likes to run and play - a large fenced yard would be awesome.

Save-A-Mutt is going to require a training contract and deposit on this boy... we want him to get the right start in your home. You pick a trainer in your area, and upon completion of a 6+ week training class, we will refund the deposit.

Adoptions take place typically in the Everett area.
Red is neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated.

Adoption fee is $150 + $100 refundable training deposit.
Save-A-Mutt is a registered 501c3.

Please note, we have approximately a 300 mile adoption radius - Portland OR is the farthest south and Vancouver BC is the farthest north. We don’t ship dogs, once approved you must pick them up in Snohomish County, WA.
