Reckless is a 60 lb leggy goofball with movie-star looks and the social grace of your friend who hugs long but means it. He’s two-ish, tan and white, and one of those dogs who just feels like he belongs in your life. Whether he’s curling up next to you or flopping at your feet like a dropped piñata, Reckless is all in. He’s confident, playful, and will absolutely throw his whole self into your lap if you let him.
He loves other dogs—even if they don’t always love him back (he’s tall, he’s wiggly, he doesn’t really do subtle). He’s a ride-or-die car buddy, happy to wait while you grab groceries without turning your seats into a shredded cheese situation. Restraints aren’t his jam, but running off isn’t either—he’s more likely to stop and stare into your soul than head for the hills.
Reckless is the kind of dog who never got the memo that humans can let you down. He was dumped as a tiny pup, wandered up a driveway full of dogs that didn’t want him there, and somehow charmed his way into staying anyway. That’s just who he is: wide-eyed, affectionate, and ready to believe the best about the world.
If you’re looking for a loyal, huggable, slightly ridiculous sidekick with hypnotic eyes and a don’t-worry-I’ve-got-this attitude, Reckless might be your guy. He’s not trying to impress you—he already knows he’s a catch.

Reckless is currently being fostered in Texas and will be transported to his forever home by our rescue! We have transports departing each week!
