WEEKEND ADOPTION EVENT:
SATURDAY, AUGUST 24 from 12-3PM: Dog Adoption Event at OLATHE PETSMART at 119th & Strang Line with volunteers from Heart of America Humane Society. We’ll have several dogs there looking for homes!
WEEKEND SHELTER HOURS:
SATURDAY, AUGUST 24: OPEN 10AM - 3PM — NO APPOINTMENT NECESSARY!
SUNDAY, AUGUST 25 : OPEN 10AM - 3PM — NO APPOINTMENT NECESSARY!

Rebel is one of the sweetest pups you will meet. He loves playing with other dogs and really loves toys. He has a lot of energy and would do really well in a home that has an active lifestyle. Don’t let that fool you tho, he’s also a great snuggle buddy!
He is highly food motivated, and knows how to sit as well as the command to go to his crate. He’s working on house training, but has immediately done very well with crate training.
We have no idea why he keeps getting passed up, so he wants to share with you all his great qualities:

We are open for meet and greet adoptions at our shelter on weekends. No appointment is necessary for weekend adoptions. Our weekend hours vary and we also have satellite adoption events every weekend. We are also open Monday through Friday by appointment. Please contact us by phone at 913-321-1445 or by email at petadoptions@kckpd.org to schedule your appointment during weekdays.
If you have a dog or children we ask that you bring them with you to meet our dogs to make sure it is a good match.
Our dogs have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and tested for heartworms (if 7 months or older).
