Meet Rebecca (“Becca”), an 8 year old brood mama looking for her forever home.

Becca is cat safe and gets along great with other dogs and the 8 year old child in her foster home.

Becca never has accidents in the house, and she’s mastered stairs and leash walks like a pro! Becca loves walks and flips out the moment you touch the leash (or even just something that looks like one, like a belt)!

Becca definitely enjoys a comfy dog bed but spends most of her time following around and laying near her human. Speaking of humans, people food looks amazing to Becca, so don’t walk away from your plate! She responds well to instruction, though, so a firm “no” will do the trick if you catch her in time.

Becca will happily go into her crate but prefers to hang out at your feet, and she can be left out when you need to leave the house. She won’t chew anything or make any trouble. Becca is such a sweet lady looking for a family to love! Will you be her forever home?



This dog is being fostered in the Des Moines Area. We do not ship dogs. Adopters must be committed to meeting the dog in the area it is being fostered.

The adoption fee for a Senior HGA dog is $211.00. This fee pays for medical costs including spay/neuter surgery, shots, parasite treatments, teeth cleaning, microchip and microchip registration fee. Each dog also comes with a special sighthound collar and leash set and muzzle. There is a $25 non-refundable application fee that is applied to an approved adoption.
