Reba Australian Kelpie Spokane, WA

This beautiful redhead is Reba. Reba is a 4 year old Kelpie. House trained. Crate trained. Good with chickens & cats. Good with other dogs but better with male dogs.
Reba came to WASR after living on her own & having significant trust issues. She has made great progress but still distrustful of men. Weighs about 35-40lbs. She is probably one of the smartest dogs I have ever been around.

Good things about Reba:
Food & toy motivated
Basic obedience
Great recall
Reba is very nearly ready to trial in started stock dog trials.
Very quick, smart girl. An absolutely natural at working stock. This is where she shines.
Loves to hike.

Not so good things:
Not snuggly. If you need a dog to snuggle she would prefer not. She needs her personal space. She is affectionate. Just not snuggly.
Would benefit from working to improve comfort with strangers & in new situations.

Reba’s number one ideal home would be where she could work sheep. Not many people these days have a need for a working dog.

Reba’s second pick for a home would be with someone who is active & likes the outdoors. Someone dog savvy & with an interest in training. Reba is super smart & has great drive.

No apartment home please.
