Meet Reacher!

Reacher is such a handsome 7yr old German Shepherd. With that touch of salt on his muzzle, he looks quite distinguished. He is enjoying a soft place to land after being abandoned by his owner in Alabama. As you shepherd lovers know, he will be a companion you can count on.

Potty Trained - check
Good with dogs - check
Shares with others - check (may occasionally snag a toy the other dog has)
Good on leash - check
Good for grooming - check (nails, bath, blow dry and brushing)
Knows basic commands - check (and quite well)
Handsome dude - check
Good in a crate - check

Reach is being fostered in a home with two little mixed breed dogs (under 10lbs) and two larger labs. He was bum rushed by the first big guy and although he was a little surprised by it and grumbled, him and his foster play so well together. So, slower/proper introductions with other dogs is preferred for Reacher.

He is good in a crate but will likely need an XL crate as he is tall and long bodied. Dog mat in the crate will be needed as he is healing up from some pressure sores from likely lying on a hard, rough surface. He enjoys the couch, dog bed and comfy chairs at his foster house.

Reacher does get a little concerned when someone leaves the house and will bark for a short time. Now remember, he has been through a lot since being abandoned by his owner when they moved, up until coming to his foster house on 4/26. He will pace to the windows to see what you are doing and will watch you from there.

Reacher is available for adoption through Ma, Paws & Me Pet Rescue and is fostered in Mukwonago. He is up to date on all age appropriate vaccines, heartworm preventative, flea/tick preventative, deworming and neutered.

Our process is as follows:

2. Submit an application for review and approval;
3. MPM Rescue reviews application and checks vet records and references;
4. MPM foster contacts approved applicant(s) to arrange a home check and meeting with available dog(s);
5. If there is a good fit, adoption is completed with a contract and fees (payable via check or cash).

Dogs from Ma, Paws & Me Pet Rescue come with the following medical care already provided:
- Spay/Neuter surgery
- Age appropriate vaccinations
- Heartworm test (for dogs over 6mo) and treatment if positive
- Microchip
- Deworming
- Heartworm and Flea/Tick Preventative
- Any other necessary medical treatment as recommended by veterinarian
