Meet Rayna

Meet Miss Rayna, our almost 7-year old Rottie/German Shepherd Mix! She came to us 5 1/2 years ago from an owner surrender and is so scared of everything (men especially, loud noises, cars, delivery trucks, sudden movements, etc)! Who knows what she's gone through to get her to this stage; we basically have determined her unadoptable because of all her fears. After this many years, she has accepted her foster family as part of her pack, even though she still barks at her foster dad when he comes into the room from a dark room. Poor baby! She has too high a prey drive so NO cats! She dotes on her foster mom though and will allow her to do just about anything, including cuddle in the chair like the picture!

That doesn't mean that we don't provide her with food, vetting, and any other needs. She recently was seen by PAN's vet because she's been limping on her rear right leg for some time and it's not getting any better. She will probably be on meds for her pain/arthritis long-term which also requires bloodwork to make sure that her kidneys are functioning properly.

Rayna is spayed and micro-chipped and is kept current on her vaccinations. Our main page has her as our featured pet and feel free to donate or sponsor Rayna in our quest to make her life more pain-free.
