Many people favor girl dogs and do not give boy dogs a chance. They possess myths about boy dogs that are simply NOT true. I am SHOCKED that I do not get more interests in this duo, since they are so adorable and such nice dogs, and very easy together. BOY dogs are in greater need of being saved as they overpopulate shelters. Please feel free to read my article, “Boys vs. Girls” located on the website (see tabs along the top) referenced at the end of the Bio Thank you!

This is Ray Ban’s profile only; the photos and description will primarily be of Ray Ban. PLEASE REFER TO RONIN’S PROFILE SEPARATELY, TO VIEW RONIN! There is also a separate profile for the two dogs together, as a duo.

Ray Ban and Ronin were saved from the South L.A. Shelter back in 2016 by a sister rescue group, slated out to No Kill L.A., (an adoption center) and adopted by a young gal. The young gal eventually moved to a place where she was not allowed to have dogs, so she gave Ray Ban and Ronin to a friend who lost the dogs. Both dogs ended up at the WLA shelter, as strays. The dogs were eventually relinquished to rescue. So sadly, as of yet, these brother have yet to find themselves in a stable, forever home. Two dogs are always easier and better than one; will you give this duo a chance?

Ray Ban and Ronin are two sweetheart brothers who truly love each other and rely on one another and have been together their entire lives. They are standard-sized Dachshund mixes. The shelter marked them as Corgi mixes. They both weigh about 20 lbs., and are both low riders! They are both super cute, and both VERY QUIET.

Ray Ban is a VERY handsome boy - he kind of resembles the coloring of a Jack Russell Terrier. He is mostly white in color, with tan in his ears and face, and tan splotches on his body. On one side, with respect to his markings, he actually has the shape of a heart (see one photo showing this)! Ray Ban is about the age of five, which is still VERY YOUNG, particularly for a small dog. He has a nice, upbeat, happy spunk but can mostly settle, chilling near me while I work at the computer or watch T.V. He is slightly on the shy side, while still being somewhat outgoing. He is always wagging his tail and looking up at me with a big smile. I can tell that he really wants love and to be someone’s very special boy. He is a smart dog who picked up the rescue routine quickly. He is potty-trained (however potty reinforcement is needed in any new environment), and crate-trained (he crates very well if I have to leave, and also sleeps very quietly, in his crate, throughout the night, enjoying his rawhide stick as a bedtime snack). A huge plus is that he “goes” out on the lawn and does not go around marking everything outside. He is a loving, well-balanced, and easy-going dog with no behavioral issues. He walks fine on the leash, rides well in the car, and is learning the doggie door. He gets along with all dogs; cats are an unknown. Ray Ban is neutered, fully vaccinated (including rabies), Front-lined, dewormed, micro-chipped, and has had a recent vet check. He has also had a recent dental cleaning under anesthesia so his teeth are fresh and white!

PLEASE REFER TO RONIN’S BIO! Ronin is Ray Ban’s brother.

NOTE: We only adopt dogs as primarily INDOOR dogs. Dogs can go outside to play, potty, to sun themselves at will, but should never be excluded to an outside area. You do not need to give a dog the run of the entire house, and an appropriate sized wire crate works very well during a transitional phase.

The best fit for Ray Ban and Ronin is with people who would enjoy (and see the benefits of having) two sweet dogs that do well together and keep each other company. Since they thoroughly enjoy the yard and fresh air, a home with some type of yard for the dogs to enjoy is a huge plus. This duo is ADORABLE. Both dogs are cherubs and I would consider any adopter lucky to have them.
