Meet Raven, an incredibly cute, 5 year old female, with a personality one dreams of in a dog. She's the perfect combination of playful and young at heart, but also loves long naps in between.
Awesome with other dogs, at least large dogs that we've been able to test her with. She's very respectful and reads other dogs cues and interacts accordingly. She would love a home with another dog that would play with her. No food or toy aggression and is only too happy to share with others when treats are handed out. She loves people attention and shares it happily with other dogs as well.
She's 95% housetrained. She's had no poo accidents in the house and as long as you make sure she pees when let out (about 3-4 times a day) she has no pee accidents either. She will pee in the house if you don't make sure she's peed when outside. She does signal at the door when she needs out and happily goes out with the other dogs in her foster home. She is a bit worried about not being let back inside, but this will subside once she knows she won't be kept out alone for extended periods of time. She sleeps all night and is not an early riser.
She has great house manners, adjusts extremely well to new environments and routines. She's not destructive, even with full roam of the house when left alone, although will steal small items if left within reach, like socks and slippers. Her leash manners need a bit of work, but because she's a petite female, even with her pulling, she's not overwhelming to control and responds well to training.
She's easy going about having her nails trimmed, her ears cleaned and brushing, so grooming is a breeze. She literally loves everyone she meets and treats them all like long lost friends. She's very quiet in the house and has only bayed twice outside, so no worries about excessive noise from this girl. She's simply a dream dog and would make a perfect addition to most homes. Raven will require a fully fenced, secure yard, with at least a 5 foot fence and preferably a home with a doggy buddy to play with or with a family that will ensure she has plenty of time to allow her to be social with other dog playmates.
Raven is fostered in Hamilton, Ontario. Transportation to her forever home can possibly be arranged. Please enquire
