Meet Ranger
Meet Ranger!
Ranger is a sweet, shy, 3-year-old Pointer mix. His idea of the perfect day would be relaxing at home with his person and taking a stroll around the neighborhood. He loves his people and is happiest when he is with them. He will gladly join you on the couch to binge watch your favorite shows. Ranger does very well on a leash and makes a great walking companion. He also does well on car rides and settles nicely in the back seat. He and his foster mom’s dog are partners in crime, and he has gotten along fine with the other dog he has met so far. He does very well with his foster mom’s cats now that he has learned they are a part of the family. With slow introductions, he should do well in a home with cats. Ranger is house trained and will wait patiently to be taken out.
Ranger was once someone’s pet and was found as a stray. We do not know the details, but his experiences seem to have given him some anxiety about being left alone and he can be timid when meeting new people- who can blame him? He has been with his foster mom for 2 months, and she is very proud of the progress he has made so far. He has made great strides with his anxiety which shows that being in a home with patience and consistency will help him thrive.
True to his Pointer roots, Ranger does have fun chasing smaller animals and would prefer to be in a home where he can have a fenced yard and does not share his space with smaller pets (rabbits, guinea pigs…).
