Meet Ranger
Hi, my name is Ranger! Here is what would work best for me in my new home:
-Personality: Active, smart and exuberant
-Can Live with Kids: Yes, 12 and older due to mouthy behavior
-Can Live with Cats: Unknown history, but has a high prey drive and would not do well with small animals in future home.
-Can Live with Dogs: No, Ranger is too intense for other dogs and needs to work on his socialization with dogs.
-Can do Apartment Living: No, Ranger becomes vocal and destructive when frustrated or left alone for long periods.
-Requires Fenced-in yard: Yes!! Ranger would highly benefit from a fenced in yard since he will not do very well at dog parks, but would love to run at full speed regularly!
-Potty Trained: Working on it!
-Bite History: None
-Positive Reward Based Obedience Classes Required: Yes, one private lesson would highly benefit him and his owner.
-Leash Trained: Yes, but pulls when excited
-Energy Level: High!!
-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: Yes, neuter.
-Additional Information: Ranger is a pretty typical German Shepard, he has a lot of energy and is very curious about his environment which means he needs a lot of mental stimulation. Ranger would love to be a running or hiking buddy and would greatly benefit from continuous positive reward based training. Ranger would do best as an only child in a home that has owned a dog before and his family is familiar with destructive or high energy dogs.
