Hi, I'm a 9-year-old German Shepherd, and I like to think of myself as young at heart! I'm healthy, a big handsome guy, and I've still got plenty of pep in my step. I really enjoy playing with other dogs, hanging out with my furry friends, and yesI love, love, love car rides. If you're going somewhere, I'm always ready to be your co-pilot. I live peacefully with both dogs and cats, and I've got beautiful house manners. Outside, I'll admit I do like to stalk squirrelsthey're just so temptingbut overall, I'm calm and well-behaved. I'm good on leash and with just a little more practice, I'll be the perfect walking companion. I pass other dogs without a fuss and don't react to activity around the neighborhood. When it comes to people, I'm friendly and meet everyone respectfully, without getting overly excited. I'm not super treat motivated, but I'll happily take them gently from your hand. Around the house, I'm a mellow guy who loves to hang out with my family, but I also enjoy getting out and aboutsmelling the smells, seeing the sights, and taking it all in. Bay Area German Shepherd Rescue's Adoption Policy

Your perfect dog in four easy steps: 1) Complete the application In about 5 minutes you’ll tell us about your experience, lifestyle and where you live. This helps us get a picture of you and the type of dog that you are looking for. We'll contact you! Just click "Adoption Application" 2) We contact you One of our adoption counselors will call you within 3 days and have a chat about your application. They will ask you to text some pictures of your fencing, gates and where your dog hangs out. 3) Dog shopping! You’ll keep an eye on our dogs on our website and Facebook page. The moment you see a dog that you are interested in you’ll contact your adoption counselor. 4) Adopting your dog If it seems like a good match, we arrange for you to meet the dog at one of our adoption events or at the foster parent’s home. If the right match is made, you will be able to adopt your dog, there and then, and take your dog home! The adoption fees are $400 for puppies and adults. That really is it!
