Meet Raisin

RAISIN! Raisin is a Chihuahua/Terrier mix (our guess), she is a spunky and energetic 12 yr old and weighs 11 lbs.

Please read all about Raisin (below) and if you feel you are a good match for her and want to meet her, please complete an application found on our website. www.mywayhomedogrescue.org

This little senior is so ready to have a home she can call her own. She LOVES people and people love her. She always looks forward to meeting new people with a wagging tail! She enjoys walks and soaking up the sun, but loves cozying up in a blanket just as much. Raisin adores squeaky toys and will give you the best play bows if you squeak them for her. She is confident, friendly, talkative, clumsy, and even a little spicy. No cats for this one!

We are working on “sit,” housetraining, and separation anxiety. She is not a fan of crates and will bark when you leave but settles after she thinks you are gone. We are in the process of housetrained with careful guidance and frequent trips outdoors. Her ideal home is with a low-traffic, gentle, terrier-loving family where she can wiggle around during the day and curl up at the end of the bed at night. She would do best in a home with few or no stairs. She doesn't mind the company of other dogs and would do fine in a home with a mellow, friendly dog. Children over 12 yrs old for this little girl.

Raisin came into the shelter system with various medical issues. She had a mass which was removed and tested, it was benign. She came in with skin issues and had loss of hair. The shelter did a great job of getting her well but she may need medicine for itchy skin, regular ear cleaning and baths (at least for a while). She also has dry eye and will need on going eye drops (which are easily given). She is a little senior dog with overall good health.

Raisin has had her vaccinations, heart worm tested and is negative, has been spayed, de-wormed, had flea treatment, and is microchipped. Her adoption fee is $250.
