4 year old male Toy Poodle, about 5 pounds.

Meet Andy!
A small and super spunky toy poodle! Andy came from a breeder where he did not spend much time outside a crate in his previous life. Now, he is having all kinds of fun with brand new experiences! This also means he is new to potty training and basic commands. Andy is doing well with potty training, but has tendencies to mark inside the house. He doesn’t mind wearing a belly band though! Andy’s crate is his ‘safe place’ if he gets nervous and happily sleeps in it at night.
Andy loves to be near his people at all times during the day and asks for attention and cuddles. He is a little shy at first, but when he warms up he becomes the cutest Velcro dog!
Andy’s other favorite hobbies are eating and running as fast as he can in the back yard - especially if that includes chasing the chickens who are bigger than he is!!
He’s done great with the other dogs that he’s met and is an all around happy guy!
Because of his size, small children in the home may not be a good fit, and his new owners must be willing to continue training.

Smidget Rescue is not a shelter, and dogs cannot be seen at the Rescue location. All dogs are fostered throughout the Puget Sound area and are brought to the events where they can be met by prospective adopters. If you live within a five-hour radius of Seattle, WA, (such as Portland, Vancouver B.C., etc.), we can arrange for a home visit. If your home seems like a great fit for the dog you would like to adopt, you must then drive to meet the dog at one of our weekend events or at the fosters home.
